Single- or twin-chip, standard-power mold type SWIR LEDs, also known as through-hole LEDs, are available in φ3 mm and φ5 mm plastic-molded packages. Featuring our largest selection of epoxy and silicone lenses, a total of nine variants are available to achieve your preferred viewing angle.
Mold type SWIR LEDs set the standard for narrow angle light emission; however, device design considerations include a relatively tall package and the through-hole mounting onto the printed circuit board (PCB).
Within the SWIR spectrum, various emission wavelengths are available in increments of 100 nm, between 1050 nm and 1650 nm. By sharing detailed material information and device specifications with Ushio’s experts, every client can be sure to receive an informed mold type LED recommendation that is unique to their application.
